ONLINE REGISTRATIONS OPEN

Registrations are open for the annual RSL and Services Clubs National Conference at Twin Towns Services Club on Monday 27th and 28th July. The conference attracts more than 200 delegates from RSL and services clubs in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania and South Australia.

With the theme “Dealing with the unexpected” the conference will be sponsored by Aristocrat Technologies, supported by Reed Hospitality, Bidvest, Tooheys, De Bortoli Wines and Coca Cola. The conference is hosted by the Twin Towns Services Club and conference partner the RSL & Services Clubs Association (NSW). This year’s MC will be multi-media personality Susie Elelman.

Topics to be discussed at the conference include the roles of the gambling industry and policy in a modern Australian society; the global financial meltdown and its likely implications for the club industry; keeping abreast of building trends in tough times; focusing on service as a business strategy; integrating aged care with club operations; a presentation by the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy on Kokoda, Sandy Hollway entitled protecting the Kokoda Track; the climate change debate and the impact of the Government’s carbon trading scheme on clubs; the new anti-money laundering requirements, why alcohol related violence is getting out of control and dealing with a changing business environment.

The conference will coincide with a regular meeting of the National Forum of the RSL and RSL and services clubs from the five states.

The conference will be followed on the Wednesday, 29th by a optional study tour of Gold Coast Clubs conducted by CMP Lawler.

Registrations can be made on line by clicking here and inquiries can be made to the RSL & Services Clubs Association on (02) 9579 4555.
