AKINGA have earned the reputation of being one of the hottest and slickest show bands and dance bands in Australia. They have won multiple ACE Awards in the categories “Best Show Band” and “Best Dance Band” and also nominated as the Best Show Band in The MO Awards. 

Originally from New Zealand this group of 5 seasoned performers appeals to almost any age group. At an average age of 28 years, they have awesome vocals and harmonies and are all multi instrumentalists. 

Akinga have put together their best material to form MEGA STARS, a costumed show with dance and choreography that involves the audience. This production is a unique entertainment experience for any person that loves to be entertained, whether they are music lovers or into comedy, as this production takes in a combination of both at its best. 

Mega Stars features a wide selection of costumed shows comprising of medleys of Michael Jackson segment, Elton John, John Farnham, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Mick Jagger, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Beatles, Prince, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Lionel Richie, and more. The show can be tailored to suit any audience with the exclusion or inclusion of particular acts. Every show culminates into a spectacular event showcasing the act’s versatility as they demonstrate their outstanding talents. 

The wide array of segments sees the Mega Stars show move quickly from one act into another showcasing awesome vocals and harmonies as they entertainment their audience. 

Their high-energy stage performance features amazing dance and choreography throughout their entire show. Dancing and moving every second of their performance, and having a good time rubs off onto their audience.
