KILLING HEIDI + KINGSWOOD
Twin Towns turns it on this New Year’s Eve with a blockbuster night of entertainment featuring Killing Heidi and Kingswood in the Showroom.
Powerhouse rockers Killing Heidi are officially forever! Twenty years ago, their folk-pop song Kettle launched Ella and Jesse Hooper into high radio rotation, something that neither expected.
Decades on, a whole generation doesn’t need reminding that the early ’00s belonged to Killing Heidi. Their debut album Reflector won four major ARIA awards and sold four-times platinum and Ella and Jesse took out the prestigious APRA Songwriters of the Year award in 2001.
After a fruitful decade of diverse solo and duo pursuits, the pair reignited the flame for the 20th anniversary of Queenscliff Music Festival in 2016: a perfect reflection of their first teenaged performances under the Killing Heidi banner.
In 2018, they kicked it up another gear with a sold out tour of capital cities, followed by an extensive regional run of shows. Soon after, they hooked up for a co-headlining national tour with ’90s rock icons, Baby Animals.
In the Summer of 2020, Killing Heidi returned for a monster 23 date tour right across Australia as part of the epic Red Hot Summer Tour.
Don’t miss your chance to see Ella and Jesse on stage at Twin Towns for a magical performance on this very special night of the year.
Joining Killing Heidi for this New Year’s Eve concert is Kingswood, a band long regarded as one of Australia’s premier rock groups.
Back in 2007, a group of friends from Melbourne Grammar School decided to channel their shared passion for music into something more. Fergus, Alex, Jeremy and Justin formed Kingswood; an alternative rock band destined to make waves in the Australian music scene.
Kingswood’s raw energy and unique sound quickly caught the attention of music lovers and critics alike. They became one of Melbourne’s best loved bands, pulling in sellout crowds wherever they performed.
In 2023, Kingswood released their sixth studio album, Home, which further showcased their musical evolution and commitment to their craft. Their journey from a group of school friends to a nationally recognised rock band is a testament to their talent, hard work, and unwavering passion for music.
