From 4 July, 1st on Wharf Tavern on the ground level at Twin Towns rolls out a new menu and to celebrate, they’re also rolling out free drinks with any main meal over $16 for members or $18 for visitors.

The mains menu includes favourites such as bangers and mash, Caesar salad, grilled barramundi or beer battered fish, porterhouse steak, chicken snitty, burgers and more. A handle of full-strength draught beer is usually $5.50 for members; a glass of house wine around the same price. Do the sums and you’ll discover with this allinclusive price for a drink and a main, you’re only paying around $10.50 for the meal component of the price.

The addition of the Spritzer to the free drinks list will no doubt prove a winner, especially with female diners and drinkers. 1st on 222Wharf Tavern’s Spritzer is a sparkling mix of Aperol, Brown Brothers Prosecco and soda, served over ice with a fresh orange garnish. The popularity of the Spritzer has surged over recent years, after the New York Post declared ‘The sunshine-hued Aperol spritz the most fashionable drink of 2017’. Vogue also gave its stamp of approval, and around the same time GQ crowned it “The season’s most refreshing cocktail”.

1st on Wharf Tavern opens Monday to Friday from 10am until late, Saturdays from 9.30am until late and Sundays 10.30am until late. Lunch is available from 11am to 2.30pm and dinner from 4pm to 8.30pm.
