Twin Towns Update
As I’m sure all members are aware, Twin Towns, Club Banora and Twin Towns Juniors are now closed, just like all Clubs, casinos, hotels, restaurants, sports and entertainment venues around the country. We, like all Australians, need to do whatever it takes to keep our community safe and reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Although the closure of our Clubs leaves us facing unprecedented challenges, we want you to know the Twin Towns organisation is in a strong position to weather the storm.
For now, the health and safety of members, staff, visitors and the local community is our major priority and we will not reopen until the Government advises it is safe to do so. When that will be, we don’t know.
We will endeavour to keep you informed, so please be sure to check the website and social media for updates. We will also keep in touch with members via these emails.
We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding and encourage you to keep an eye out for each other, especially anyone who is vulnerable, and anyone in your community that may be more adversely affected than you.
Clubs are about ‘Community’ and bringing together people. That’s what makes this time so difficult for us – it goes against our DNA. While we need to set aside personal contacts at this time, we need to be innovative in how we communicate with each other from a distance and continue as a community of friends and Australians.
I also want to acknowledge that beyond the Club being a place of socialising; it is also the workplace for many of us and my absolute heartfelt thoughts are with our team at the moment. I hope you will reflect on the impacts on them as well.
Not just are we a direct employer, the effects of this closure are already being felt across our breadth of suppliers and related businesses. We hope they are all as resilient as Twin Towns and are ready to service us and our community once this event has passed.
Stay safe, be alert. We’ll be in touch again soon.
