An army of more than 20 local tradies has descended on Level 5 at Mantra Twin Towns, as 24 hotel rooms on the floor undergo a massive refurbishment.

Under the watchful eye of Project Manager Scott McClintock from Tweed Coast-based construction company, TLF Developments, carpenters, cabinetmakers, electricians, plumbers, plasterers, painters and tilers are working round the clock to get the hotel rooms ready for the final fit-out later this month. The interior design and fit-out will introduce a coastal vibe to the rooms, with colours that complement the resort’s location, just minutes to the golden sands and sparkling waves of Coolangatta and Greenmount beaches.

Twin Towns CEO Rob Smith said he and the Board of Directors are always happy to see major works contracts at the Clubs awarded to local companies.

“Any dollar spent in the local community by Twin Towns is a dollar well spent. Employing locally is investing locally, not just paying tradies’ wages, but supporting the local companieswho supply the raft of building products required to complete the refurbishment.

“The quality of work and service provided by our local contractors is as good as you would find anywhere in the country.

“They also show great pride in the work they complete in their own backyard, and it shows,” said Rob.
