Mantra Twin Towns Resort recently welcomed new manager, Troy Fettes, who brings a wealth of experience working with the Accor chain for the past 12 years.

Troy’s most previous role was manager at FV Brisbane by Peppers at Fortitude Valley and he also managed The Oracle at Broadbeach during its opening in 2010. Mantra Twin Towns becomes Troy’s eighth hotel property.

“I’ve found the Twin Towns destination to be very different from Fortitude Valley. The people are really friendly and I love the atmosphere and community feel here on the border.

“I’m excited by the lifestyle and can’t wait to get the time to explore more of the beaches and hinterland. I was taken on a site inspection of Twin Towns soon after I arrived and was blown away by the world class facilities, all available for guests, right on the doorstep of the resort. It’s amazing,” said Troy.

Troy took up the new role at probably one of the most challenging times for the industry and said his focus now will be on post-COVID recovery, the hotel team and apartment owners.

“I’ve found people aren’t aware of the many locations included in the Queensland/New South Wales border bubble. The easiest way to find out is to go to the Queensland Health website border bubble maps.

“If they live within the border bubble, they need to download a border pass for their journey,” said Troy. “It’s always best to check with your relevant State Health Department too and the process really isn’t difficult.”

Discounted rooms at Mantra Twin Towns are now on sale. The rate includes breakfast (see page 8), daily room servicing and 1GB of internet during your stay.
