From Tuesday 4 December, the current operators of Orient at Twin Towns, Slice and Fork at Club Banora and Wok Chop ‘n Grill at Twin Towns Juniors, take over catering operations at Flame Bistro and 1st on Wharf.

The trio of Paul Xu, Alan Sun and Thomas Goransson will introduce the same bistro dining model they have successfully operated at Club Banora for 10 years and Twin Towns Juniors for 16 years.

The company has been providing a range of catering services to Twin Towns since 1996.

Thomas Goransson said they were all excited and looking forward to getting some good things happening at the bistro.

“We have been waiting for this for a long while and finally, the opportunity has arrived to take over operations at the Flame bistro.

“I am excited to announce that the new head chef at Flame Bistro will be Michael Swaddle.

“Michael and I have worked together for many years – we are a good team and are planning to bring some exciting new ideas to Flame over upcoming months,” said Thomas.

Executive Business Manager Rod Pain said members and visitors to the Club will probably not even notice there has been a change.

“Expect to see same great variety and value for money on the menu at Flame Bistro as has been the case for many years.

“The new team is introducing two-for-$28 members’ lunch specials ($30 non-members) to Flame Bistro from Mondays to Thursday and these will be available from 11am to 4pm in the afternoon.

“We expect this concept to be extremely popular at Flame, especially for those that attend morning shows, bingo and other daytime entertainment at Twin Towns,” said Rod.

1st on Wharf will also continue to offer its popular daily dining specials at $18 for members and $20 for non-members,

which include a main and beverage (draught beer, house wine, soft drink, tea or coffee).

Flame Bistro will be closed on Monday 3 December while the new operators move in. Orient, which usually closes on Mondays, will be open on the day.

It will be business as usual for dining at Flame Café, Flame Pizzeria and 1st on Wharf.

Twin Towns will continue to directly operate catering in Signatures, Flame Café, Flame Pizzeria, Gusti d’Italia, Harbour Fresh and functions.

The Club will also continue to operate all beverage services, including those in Flame.
